B.A.B.Y; Exploring Uninhibited Femininity on 35mm

“To fluctuate from cheeky to serene at the blink of an eye. To stare down the camera and be hard and soft all at once. To be in a dream state yet firmly know their place in reality. Should the modern human need to explain or justify their desires? Or should the world just be a passenger of their own journey? It’s easy to ask questions but where are the answers? Maybe the answers come from the little moments, the times when there’s no questions. When was the last time that you had no questions to answer?”

‘B.A.B.Y’ was shot on 35mm film on a “beautiful, stormy yet sunny day in Melbourne, so I really tried to capture the dreamy quality of it. Milo (the model) wanted to explore their femininity with this photoshoot and I wanted to create some photos where you could understand how much fun we were all having, dressing up and dancing on a rooftop.” – Jade Florence, photographer.
