Date Night; Exploring Past Connections in a Primarily Queer Scene

‘Date Night’ aims to diverge from a constant state of overthinking, and instead attempts to embrace the intricacy and multiplicity of past heartfelt connections that photographer Jackson Grant found since shifting into a more prevalent queer scene. This editorial particularly surrounds the theme of contemplation, to re-kindle or to hold back feelings, impressions, and truths.

In an intentional act to discard the conventional, Jackson’s irregular body of personal works publicly faces his periods of mental isolation. As a result, he hopes to engage the viewer into questioning uncertain, yet familiar sparks they may have once seen in another, or better yet, themselves.
