Tommy Hayes is an artist based in Brooklyn, NY, whose work primarily consists of multi-media paintings that explore concepts of identity, gender and expressionism. Her paintings depict incredible, strong beings, with some pieces exploring the “beauty in the power of the black woman”. But that’s not where her talent stops, with her unique style coming from self-made pieces and accompanying fiery make-up. We hung out with gifted goddess, who showed us around a few of her favourite spots near Flushing Avenue Station.
