The Raffles College of Design held their graduate fashion show at Ambush Gallery in Sydney last week, with the theme of ‘Synergy’. Existing together as a merging collection the students presented garments that were primarily monochrome in colour scheme, making reference to a dystopian society.

Graduate Laura Davis presented work that celebrated imperfection. Laura explained “I focused on the hand-crafted, the acceptance of a natural order and the inherent beauty that emerges through this process….”
Ruth Read’s collection were obvious on the runway through designs that communicated an emotional ‘breakthrough’. Her final garments ‘become a point of balance between the internal and external; an equilibrium of light and dark.”

Other designers on the runway were Alexandra Vyen Nguyen, Hayley Kang, Mary Quach, Alice Liang and Alyce Chen.
