“Within my recent project entitled ‘
The space created within the images aim to show the physical version of the online space we present ourselves in and how we work our way through space as creatives, and as people who are queer, non-binary or within the LGBTQ+ community.
Navigating through an online space as someone who is open about their sexuality can allow you to grow as an individual as well as alongside others, creating a secure network to freely move and investigate your gender, discuss ideas and becoming more self-aware of your sexuality.
I wanted to show this exploration within the images, and this is highly influenced by the physical environment made as well as the dress.” – Sara Carpentieri, photographer.
